About us
Service Management International Ltd was founded in London in 2000 as a joint venture of three major European facility service companies. Within its first couple of month of trading SMI established its unique structure – 3 shareholder companies, 8 affiliated member companies, plus more recently – 19 network partners – covering more than 60 countries globally.
SMI key operating elements are:
Active use of best practice across country boundaries, development and execution of common specification on global, regional or multi-country level.
Combination of national, regional, or even global management capability with the benefits of the local knowledge and know-how of all its different operating entities, all of whom are market leader in their respective market.

A facility service provider
The SMI network can deliver true pan-European (EMEA), pan-Asian, Pan-American solutions to multinational corporations for a broad selection of Support and Facility Services. Unlike other companies who have attempted to reach across a particular geographic region with a single service solution or without true local knowledge and delivery resources, the SMI model provides a single or multi service contract capability with national service delivery platforms in each country to deliver a truly best in class service.
Through SMI our customers gain the synergy and consistency desired from pan-regional or global contracts without sacrificing the benefits of local knowledge, custom and practice. |
